Ron Books, CEO of ECi

Ron Books joined the Company in late 1999 and was promoted to President of the division in 2000 before successfully selling that business unit in 2001. Ron then served as Vice President of Sales before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations in 2004 and then Chief Operating Officer in 2006. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in early 2009. As CEO, Ron is responsible for the strategic direction and vision of ECi.

Prior to ECi, Ron was with Lucent Technologies and also served in the Clinton administration. Ron has a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton.

Brian Bowerfind, Distribution Division President

Brian joined ECi as Distribution Division President in 2017. He ensures that the Division’s operational activities support its customers and its strategic business goals. Prior to ECi, he spent nine years with NCR Corporation leading their North American Direct Hospitality business and 16 years with Softbrands in roles of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Global Sales, Vice President of Global Services, and Vice President of International.

Brian and his wife have three children. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at his local community church, playing golf, and traveling. Brian holds a B.A in Political Science from California State University-Long Beach and an MBA with an emphasis in international business from the University of Redlands.

Steve Camp, Vice President of Sales, Distribution Division

Steve Camp brings an extensive knowledge of the office products industry and its customers. He is responsible for the strategic development of industry relationships and managing, directing and assisting all sales for ECi's Office Division.

Steve has had numerous roles with ECi including VP of Sales for the Logistics Solutions Group and VP of Sales for the DDMS Division. He has more than 18 years experience working in sales, sales management and business development in the software, office products, and printing industries. Prior to ECi, he worked for Standard Register, a national printing, office supply, and software company, as regional sales manager for multiple northeast markets. Most recently, he was president and owner of the OCC Group, which focused on home and building improvements.

Brian Ernst, Director of Product Development, Distribution Division

Previous to being named Director of Product Development, Brian served as Senior Product Manager for ECi’s Distribution Division. Prior to this, he spent more than 10 years as Product Manager and Operations Manager for Red Cheetah and began his career as Operations Manager for Lone Star Supplies in Austin, Texas. Brian is a graduate of the University of Texas and is an avid sports fan who enjoys golf and cycling.

Richard Meager, Director of Support, Distribution Division

Richard joined DDMS in September of 1990. Holding many different support responsibilities over the years, he was named Director of Distribution Support because of his wealth of office products industry and software knowledge. In his spare time, he volunteers at a local Boxer rescue organization and homeless shelter—when not fishing, enjoying his family and his two boxers.

Amy Brown, Director of Strategic Services, Distribution Division

Amy brings more than 20 years of office products experience to her position at ECi. She most recently served as Director of Sales for ECi Acsellerate where she used her expertise to drive the sales and product development strategy for the division. Much of her industry knowledge derives from 15 years as the Sales Director for a large dealer in Ohio, leading her team to achieve significant sales and margin growth. Amy also had her own consulting business, helping dealers manage their sales teams and implement processes for long-term success.
